Duties & Responsibilities of Production Engineers:
To monitor and control the administration and distribution of technical and airworthiness documentation via the Technical Library, ensuring that all necessary maintenance data is updated and available as required by Part 145.A.45 in a timely manner.
To ensure that the Reliability Monitoring Program in respect of both aircraft systems and components for the continued airworthiness is produced on time and is effectively used.
To maintain an effective Repetitive Defect Analysis and Control System and to ensure that remedial action is taken towards rectification of repetitive defects as quickly as possible in the interest of flight safety.
To inform the development engineers of any defect trends in order to liaise with manufacturers so that design changes are made where necessary to alleviate future defects and improve reliability.
To liaise with the Planning Supervisor and provide inputs for the development and improvement of the efficiency of the Maintenance Program.
To liaise with the Maintenance Control Engineers and the Planning Section, in order to generate Work Orders/Task Cards when and as required for the rectification of repetitive defects, deferred defects and cabin defects.
To carry out Maintenance Reviews and issue CMR Certificates for each of the aircraft operated by the Company.
To carry out analysis of flight envelope exceedances reported via the FDM and to instruct the Head of Aircraft Maintenance of any maintenance actions which must be taken to ensure the continuing airworthiness of the aircraft.
