The Engineering &
Maintenance Manager has the overall responsibility to ensure that, in respect of
the Cyprus Airways fleet, all maintenance is carried out on time and to an
approved standard. In discharging these responsibilities the Engineering &
Maintenance Manager, will consult with the Manufacturer’s Service Support Group
where appropriate, and the maintenance contractor. The Engineering &
Maintenance Manager ensures the Airworthiness of the company’s airplanes and
the serviceability of both operational and emergency equipment by achieving
compliance with the operator's maintenance responsibilities. The Engineering &
Maintenance Manager is ultimately responsible for any corrective action
resulting from the quality monitoring of Quality System. 1. The Engineering
& Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the maintenance
organisation has :- a) Facilities
appropriate to the planned work, [EASA 145.A.25(a) refers], and office
accommodation appropriate to the management of planned work, [EASA 145.A.25(b)
refers]. b) A working
environment appropriate to the tasks being undertaken, [EASA 145.A. 25(c)
refers]. c) Storage facilities
for parts, tools, equipment and materials, [EASA 145.A.25(d) refers] d) Sufficient
competent personnel to plan, perform, supervise, inspect and certify the work
being performed and quality monitor the Organisation, [EASA 145.A.30 refer]. e) Tools, equipment
and materials to perform the planned tasks, [EASA 145.A.40(a) refers]. f) All necessary
maintenance data from the EASA / DCA and the aircraft, engine and component
manufacturers, as appropriate to the task being performed, [EASA 145.A.45refers]. He reports to the
Accountable Manager.
Duties and responsibilities:
NOTE:
In the absence of the Engineering & Maintenance Manager the Head of Aircraft
Maintenance deputises for him and performs all of the above listed duties.
