Engines Development
The Engines Development Section is the Section
in Engineering which deals with:
1. Modifications,
service bulletins and ADs related to the Engines and APUs of the a/c.
The Engines
Development Section is responsible for the evaluation of all mandatory and
non-mandatory information related to the airworthiness of the engines (such
as ADs, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters etc) and submits
evaluation and approval request forms to the Head of Engineering and
Engineering and Maintenance Manager.
2. Preparing
Accomplishment Instructions for approved S/Bs, ADs, etc. to be issued to
Part-145 by Planning Section.
3. Maintaining
records of the Life Limited Parts of all aircraft engines, etc
4. Performing
daily Engine Health Monitoring to ascertain the condition of the engines and
taking action when necessary
5. Preparing/approving
workscopes for engines, nacelles and APUs at the shop.
6. Assisting
Stores to evaluate quotations for components.
7. Assisting
the Head of Engineering with evaluation of contracts and submitting warranty
claims
8.
Communicating with Vendors (such as IAE or Rolls Royce or Goodrich) to
obtain technical information or technical assistance when this is required
by Cyprus Airways.
9. Preparing
Quarterly Reliability analysis of the engines, APUs and their components.
Development would also assist with processing
the arrival of new aircraft, and preparing records for the sale of old
aircraft.
