Avionics Development Layout

The Avionics Development Section is the Section in Engineering which deals with:

1. Modifications, service bulletins and ADs related to all the avionics systems.

The Avionics Development Section is responsible for the evaluation of all mandatory and non-mandatory information related to the airworthiness of the avionics (such as ADs, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters etc) and submits evaluation and approval request forms to the Head of Engineering and Engineering and Maintenance Manager.

2. Preparing Accomplishment Instructions for approved S/Bs, ADs, etc. to be issued to Part-145 by Planning Section.

3. Assisting Stores to evaluate quotations for components.

4. Assisting the Head of Engineering with evaluation of contracts and submitting warranty claims

5. Communicating with Vendors to obtain technical information or technical assistance when this is required by Cyprus Airways.

6. Preparing Quarterly Reliability analysis of the avionics components.

Development would also assist with processing the arrival of new aircraft, and preparing records for the sale of old aircraft.
