The Airframe Development Section is the Section
in Engineering which deals with:
1. Modifications, service bulletins and ADs
related to the airframe, landing gears, and interior of the a/c.
The Airframe
Development Section is responsible for the evaluation of all mandatory
and non-mandatory information related to the airworthiness of the airframe
(such as ADs, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters etc) and
submits evaluation and approval request forms to the Head of Engineering
and Engineering and Maintenance Manager.
2. Preparing Accomplishment Instructions for approved S/Bs, ADs, etc.
to be issued to Part-145 by Planning Section.
3. Preparing/approving workscopes for
Landing Gear at the shop.
4. Assisting Stores to evaluate quotations
for components.
5. Assisting the Head of Engineering with evaluation
of contracts and submitting warranty claims
6. Communicating with Vendors (such as Messier
Bugatti or Airline Services) to obtain technical information or
technical assistance when this is required by Cyprus Airways.
7. Preparing Quarterly Reliability analysis
of the airframe/landing gear components.
Development would also assist with processing
the arrival of new aircraft, and preparing records for the sale of old
aircraft.
