Another Airbus A319 enters the fleet of Cyprus Airways

Cyprus Airways Ltd in an effort to renew its fleet has decided to lease from International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) an Airbus A319-100 for a period of 6 years. With this airplane the fleet counts three Airbus A319 in total. The new Airbus was given the name of the Cyprus town "Larnaca" and registered 5B-DCF.

 

The A319 is considered to be one of the most successful and popular Airbus type aircraft. It is a single-aisled, comfortable 126 seater and has three spacious washrooms.
Despite the fact of the small size of the aircraft it has the capability of continues flight up to a distance of 6,800 km, which allows for the usage of the aircraft to longer destinations.
The A319 like the other two in the fleet is powered by two underwing-mounted V2500-A5 engines designed and manufactured by International Aero Engines.
