Eurocypria Airlines will be flying Boeing 737-800 from 2003:

Eurocypria Airlines has signed a contract with ILFC (International Lease Finance Corporation) for the leasing of 4 Boeing 737-800 at the beginning of December 2001.

The 737 are programmed to be delivered on February, March, April 2003 and April 2004. The Company has the right to have the 4th aircraft at 2003 if they wish.
This type of aircraft has been chosen as the most suitable aircraft for charter flights. The main reasons for choosing this type of aircraft are its performance and its profitability. The 737-800 can fly up to 2.905 nautical miles in economy configuration thus offering more attractive prices.

Boeing 737-800 with Eurocypria colors Eurocypria's boeings will have a capacity of 189 passengers. The new design of Boeings offers better fuel consumption therefore more range. The interior is similar to the Boeing 777 which was awarded for its spaciousness. Other advantages are the reduced noise level and lower cost of engine maintenance. The new CFM56-7 engines manufactured by a cooperation between General Electric Co. of USA and Snecma of France, are complying completely with the new noise level restrictions.
