The Engineering Department of Cyprus Airways Ltd, which is an integral part of the airline, is required by the Director of Civil Aviation (DCA) - Cyprus, to maintain a EASA Part 145 maintenance organisation approval in order to qualify the maintenance requirements of the company's aircraft.
The Cyprus Airways Ltd, EASA Part 145 maintenance organisation is approved by the DCA (Approval Ref. CY.145.002) for the Scope of Work defined in the Maintenance Exposition that forms the basis for the grant and continuation of that approval. It is the responsibility of all members of staff to ensure that the practices and procedures defined in the Exposition documents are complied with at all times in order to achieve the standards of airworthiness required by the EASA and the Cyprus DCA.
Quality in maintenance is the responsibility of each and every member of the work force, who must perform their tasks correctly and in a thoroughly airworthy manner.
"Quality" means "airworthiness" and it is achieved in the workplace.
