The Airbus A330

"Ammochostos" the first A330 of Cyprus Airways

 

With the arrival of 2 brand-new Airbus A330, the final stage of the renewal and expansion was started for the fleet of Cyprus Airways in 2004 in an effort to stay ahead despite the growing antagonism.
 

These high technology aircrafts were included in out fleet in replacement of our A310 aircraft. The 2 Airbus A330 are leased from ILFC with a contract of 10 years powered by Rolls Royce Trend engines.

Our four A310 aircraft were bought by ILFC after the delivery of the A330 had started and they were probably leased or sold.

The A330 is considered to be the most modern and luxurious aircraft of the Airbus series. It boasts long-range ability and impressive versatility, making the aircraft ideal for flights to popular destinations such as London, Paris and Amsterdam. The A330 provides specious seating to 30 passengers traveling Business Class and 265 traveling Economy, while state of the art onboard facilities and personal entertainment systems reflect the commitment to passenger comfort.
 

APHRODITE Economy Class includes seats with headrest with 4 adjustable positions and individual 6.5 inch video monitor. There are 4 telephone stations for common use.

 

APOLLO Business Class includes seats with leather covers, headrest with 6 adjustable positions, anatomic back rest, foot rest with 4 adjustable positions, individual 9 inch video monitors, sockets for plugging in a laptop and personal telephones.

 

The large cargo hold of the A330 is also ideally suited to the expansion of the lucrative Cyprus-UK freight market.
 

The A330-200 aircraft acquired by Cyprus Airways are powered by two underwing-mounted Rolls Royce Trent 772B engines.

 

 

The Airbus A330 fleet will bear the names of most important large Towns in occupied Cyprus.
